Herne

Flashing fire and thundering hooves
Wild hunt across the skies
Sunrise between Your antlers
Moon reflected in Your eyes

Banished to the world of dreams
To ancient pathways, forest streams
But in the city I feel You pounding
On streets of steel Your bellow sounding

You are ever deep inside me
Your pulsing blood within to guide me
Evergreen and faithful lover
With you beside I need no other

Our freedom rare, our wildness claimed
Your raging heart, our blood untamed
Your peace is deep, Your footsteps sure
My passions strong, Your love is pure

My Goddess soul rises to meet You
Each pulsing heartbeat aches to greet You
And when I see Your ancient smile within my lover’s eyes
I know that I will find a place with no more pain or lies

Flashing fire and thundering hooves
Wild hunt across the skies
Sunrise between Your antlers
Moon reflected in Your eyes
