Stones Smoothed Over

One of these days
waves
will wade into me,
reclaiming
and aiming
at setting things free.
The structure
of self
battered at shore,
shattered
and scattered,
yet somehow
restored.
Like stones
smoothed over
by reverberation
waters
will heal this
with disintegration.
