She changes everything She touches …. We're back with the biggest magazine ever for summer - plenty to keep us going until the nights start to draw in again, but that seems a long way off now. Don't miss our first ever serial - "Loving Brynhild", by Clarise Samuels, a fascinating adventure that I couldn't put down, but also a novel that isn't afraid to look at the deeper philosophical issues that the story raises. We hope to publish the novel in about six instalments, so there will be plenty to look forward to. There are more articles than ever, including a ritual from Elizabeth Kaufman - so many people enjoyed Elizabeth's Winter Solstice contribution that we've asked her to write regularly on this topic. We also have a new columnist - the publicity shy "Granny Burton" is going to share her wisdom and practical advice in this, and future, magazines. Interestingly, although we didn't declare a theme for the Summer '10 magazine, one has emerged, as so often happens - more than one article looks at the passage of time and memories, including offerings from Carolyn Lee Boyd, Rachel Mayatt, Sue Oxley and Zoé d’Ay. We also have some great reviews in this issue, and I particularly enjoyed Helen Carmichael's engaging "Serendipity and Sound Forms" about her afternoon spent in the presence of two of Canada's finest poets. Don't forget the regular "Media" section - you can find it in the menu on the left-hand side- this quarter's treat is a Youtube video, forwarded by Janie Rezner and entitled "Women of the word take over ...." Our front cover this time is "Free!", by Gaia Orion. I couldn't resist the sheer abandoned joy of this painting, a woman ready, as Gaia says, for infinite possibilities. Don't miss our new booklist - we've added this in as so many people ask for a list of good books to start a study of a particular attribute of goddess, and it will help us if you buy books through that list as Amazon then give us a small commission. Suggestions for additions to the list will be very welcome, too.
As always, feedback is welcome - but most of all, enjoy the summer issue! Geraldine Joint Editor
